MTV Unsigned Artist Of The Year: Marie Naffah Releases Stunning New Single

We are exceptionally excited to be covering such an amazing artist and her first single with everyone today!

We would like to give a little background on Marie before diving into the new single!

"It all started in 2014 after Marie uploaded a YouTube video, leading to her being titled MTV's Unsigned Artist Of The Year, putting her with the likes of Sam Smith, George Ezra, and Ella Eyre."

Some of her recent accomplishments include winning MTV's Unsigned Artist Of The Year, selling out London's The Lexington, giving TED Talks regarding the stigma of disability in the music industry and this was all before releasing any music. We don't think many artists can say this! Oh yeah, did we mention she has had her music endorsed by Daft Punk and played the legendary Ronnie Scotts? This girl is on fire.

She has also been featured on the likes of Balcony TV London, XFM, Absolute Radio, Metro, and NME! Does it stop with Marie? Absolutely not! She is only getting started!

After her recent and amazing accomplishments, Marie decided it was time to release her debut single titled "Let Me Wilt". "Inspired by the likes of Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, Naffah brings soul back to the mainstream with 'Let Me Wilt', written after a coffee with Stevie Wonder producer, Guy Holmes, who told Marie she had the talent to succeed." - Press Excerpt

The first time hearing Marie's new single we instantly fell in love with it. Marie definitely brings something truly unique to her new single. The production all around is extremely well done, if not perfect. The unique soul and emotion brought to this release are hard to ignore. Marie's vocal performance is gorgeous. The power, emotion, and top line are what brings this song to life. Not to mention how catchy her voice is.

This is one of those singles that you will find will be on repeat all day. Honestly. Even if you are not a massive fan of Soul, you will find something you will love in this production. It's safe to say that Marie is going to be exploding, even more, this year. Hence why she is on our Ones To Watch list here at The Drunken Coconut.

Simply amazing.
